I am currently working as a Communication and Documentation Associate at the Maharashtra Urban WASH-ES Coalition (An initiative by UNICEF Maharashtra and the Regional Centre of Urban and Environmental Studies (RCUES) of All India Institute of Local Self-Government (AIILSG), Mumbai.). With 6 years of experience in Public Health, I have focused on Social and Behavior Change (SBC) across areas like HIV/AIDS, Maternal-Neonatal Care, WASH, Mental Well-being, and Anemia, along with 6 years in Education, teaching Functional English. My expertise lies in developing communication materials, documenting case studies and human interest stories, conducting primary and secondary research and building strategic partnerships.

Key Projects
– Developed communication materials for a WASH Project with Save the Children, Finland, as a Project Associate, The Communication Hub. The project was implemented in 16 villages near Bhopal and later adopted for the state of Madhya Pradesh. (2012-2013)
– As a UN Volunteer with the SBC section of UNICEF Maharashtra, contributed to the “Apni Baat, Apno ke Saath” campaign on mental well-being and anemia (2022), documented the RCCE for the measles outbreak in Mumbai (2023) and developed and implemented college awareness programs in Mumbai on mental well-being and anemia. (2023)
– Documented 16 case studies on the MHM value chain, highlighting sourcing, outreach, and waste disposal practices. These case studies were published in the “Compendium of Good Practices on MHM Value Chain for a #PeriodFriendlyMaharashtra” for the 10th Menstrual Hygiene Day (28 May, 2024) and featured on the UNICEF website (https://bit.ly/3C2Ybyh) (2024)

– Conducted WASH-focused capacity-building sessions for the students of Sanitation Inspector Course at AIILSG, Mumbai, emphasizing on WASH-related celebrations. (2023)
– Empowered students at Ramakrishna Mission, Institute of Culture through Functional English training programs. (2016-2022)

I want to continue to contribute to social change through effective communication strategies, fostering collaborations, and contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030.
